Toronto, ON February 28, 2012 – The award-winning creator of Booty Camp Fitness and one of North America’s top trainers, Sammie Kennedy, is ready to announce her latest venture that is sure to once again change the women’s fitness scene in Canada. Kennedy’s new women’s-only kickboxing brand, Femme Fitale, will be launching across Ontario in May 2012.

“I’m an avid kickboxer and a huge fan of MMA/UFC style combat. So much of it is geared toward men though, similar to the boot camp concept years ago,” says Kennedy. “This is a great opportunity to bring women into this style of workout – it’s incredibly challenging cardio that guarantees results, plus it has the opportunity to really develop a strong sense of strength and self-confidence.”

Femme Fitale positions itself very differently from the typical cardio kickboxing class at the gym. “Femme Fitale will take women beyond kicks and punches in sync with music. We’ll be offering various aspects of kickboxing and mixed martial arts conditioning in our program in a safe and non-threatening environment. This heart-pumping workout will concentrate on perfecting kickboxing technique using partnered padwork, MMA conditioning drills, jump rope and partnered resistance training in eight-week sessions.”

Kennedy is skilled with making fitness accessible to women by removing intimidation and fear factors. “When I launched Booty Camp Fitness five years ago, the image one would conjure up when hearing the words ‘boot camp’ involved a military-style workout where a sergeant yelled in people’s faces and worked people until they get sick,” explains Kennedy. “With Booty Camp, I turned boot camp style workouts into a Fun Friendly Fitness concept that over 50,000 women in Canada have participated in. I look forward to doing the same with Femme Fitale and reaching my goal of positively affecting the lives of 1,000,000 women.” Femme Fitale will be launching across Ontario in the following cities: Toronto (8 locations), Aurora, Brampton, Burlington, Kitchener/Waterloo, Markham, Milton and Ottawa (2 locations).

Classes begin as soon as May 7th with an eight-week session costing $299. The Femme Fitale woman is beautiful and strong, capable of accomplishing anything she directs her mind and body to achieve. Women of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to join Femme Fitale.
