Bio of Sammie Kennedy
Sammie Kennedy is the creator and CEO of both Femme Fitale, Canada’s newest way for women to learn kickboxing & MMA skills, and also Booty Camp Fitness, Inc., Canada’s largest women’s-only boot camp program. In five years, she has changed the landscape for women’s fitness in the country and has positively affecting the lives of over 50,000 women.
Ranked as one of the top five trainers in both Canada and the USA by a popular fitness chain, Kennedy, who is also a former fitness model, is one of Canada’s top elite trainers. She boasts a wealth of expertise when it comes to fitness, exercise, nutrition and making them all FUN.
Kennedy has been recognized as both a savvy business woman and leader in the Canadian fitness industry. PROFIT magazine has recognized Kennedy on their annual W100 list in 2010 and 2011, ranking 37th and 30th, respectively. For both years Booty Camp Fitness ranked as the fastest growing company on the list. Women’s Post, a national magazine for women in business, dubbed Kennedy as one of the Top 20 Women in Canada for her work bringing awareness of fitness and health to ladies across the country. Sammie and her companies have won numerous accolades including Best Gym/Fitness Club (NOW Magazine), Top 20 Entrepreneurs Under 30 (FuEL Awards) and 18th spot on the PROFIT Hot 50. PROFIT also recognized Sammie as their Young Entrepreneur of the Year as well as honouring her with their Momentum Award. Women’s Executive Network (WXN) dubbed Sammie as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in 2011.
Kennedy has starred in three home workout DVDs and authored three books, A Girl’s Guide to a Healthy & Sexy Booty, Booty Camp: It’s More than Just Movement, and Femme Fitale: What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You Hotter.
